Ushindi for Women Organization understands and takes very seriously its responsibility to strengthen and build upon the pillars of good governance.The Ushindi for women organization  promotes the capacity development of community members to demand accountability from both the legislative and executive. UWO works through other CSO, CBOs, religious leaders and government official to advocate for public accountability, participatory democracy, sustainable economic growth, and human rights within Garissa County.The organization continues to reinforce its commitment to maintain a governance framework of the highest standards while nurturing a culture that is compliant, transparent and accountable. Ushindi for Women Organization acknowledges its collective responsibility for the long-term success of the organization and has adopted a number of policies and procedures to support its effective discharge of this responsibility.

We are under the guidance of community engagement procedures manual which is aimed at ensuring that community residents, partners and the stakeholders have a voice to influence the development of strategies that will affect lives, and to inform the way in which services in the community are planned and delivered.
